Kelly, 41, has used guest hosts while searching for a new partner since Regis quit last November, much in the same way she ended up replacing the latter's previous permanent co-host Kathie Lee Gifford in 2001.
She has said: 'Of course we miss Regis but its always been like a two person show. So if he's not there or I am not there somebody else is filling in.
'I have experienced it from both sides now. I have experienced it coming in as the new girl, and now I am the person trying out the new people.
